Say NO to Offshore Drilling!

Written by Bruxanne Hein on April 5th, 2010

Surfrider Foundation is opposed to any new offshore oil drilling.

Our nation’s oceans, waves and beaches are vital recreational, economic and ecological treasures that will be polluted by an increase in offshore oil drilling.

We strongly support reinstatement of the federal moratorium on new offshore oil drilling.

Instead of advocating for transient and environmentally harmful ways to meet America’s oil needs, we should seek a comprehensive and environmentally sustainable energy plan that includes energy conservation.

For more information and to find out how you can help oppose offshore drilling please visit: http://oilonthebeach.blogspot.com/

The Grand Strand Chapter has adopted a section of Myrtle Beach from 29th Ave. S. to 15th Ave. S. through the SC DHEC Adopt-A-Beach program! We will be responsible for cleaning this section of beach periodically beginning later this fall and through 2009. If you have a group who would like to assist with this effort, please contact us! If you would like to adopt your own beach, please follow this link.
